Your hosts, blacksmith Courtney Mead and author and artist Tanya Sousa, are ready to offer you comfort, culture, great food, and a little whimsy! There’s a luscious view from every window, and inviting common areas both indoors and out. Did we mention we have dragons? They’ll greet you at the door. We’re only a 20 minute drive to Jay Peak Resort or beautiful Lake Memphremagog and Newport City, and 2 hours from Montreal.
Every morning you will be treated to a continental breakfast consisting of coffee/tea, juice, home-baked goods (such as scones, muffins, coffee cake, granola), fresh fruit or fruit cup, toast, honey, jam, etc.
Guests have access to the dining room, parlor (with a 1927 Chickering baby grand piano you are welcome to play), deck (with views of Canada), veranda (overlooking the gardens), and front porch (with sitting and dining areas). Also, free WiFi access to high speed internet.
We share our home with our dog and three cats. All our animals are friendly and love people.
A note for those with mobility issues: all our guest rooms are on the second floor, accessible only by stairway.

The Blacksmith Room has a double and single bed, and is decorated with images related to the art and craft of blacksmithing. Enjoy the electric "coal" stove for ambience, and peruse the library of traditional crafts. With views to the northwest, you see the village of North Troy and the Canadian Sutton Range.
The Zen Room has a full size bed and comfy chair. The room has a Far Eastern flair, decorated with painted bamboo wall hangings, statuary, and a bubbling fountain. The room has views of the gardens to the south, and of Jay Peak and the Green Mountains to the west. We think you’ll enjoy this peaceful space.
The Child at Heart Room has two single beds, and is decorated with wonderful original artwork as well as a golden carousel horse, and there are themed mugs for guest use. This room has views of the gardens and old barn. You don’t have to be a child to enjoy the playfulness of this space!
